Bamboo longboards have become extremely
popular in the last couple years. Bamboo is first and foremost a
beautiful material and is very environmentally friendly which
makes it a great choice for longboards. 100% bamboo longboards
are very durable and actually twice as strong as oak.
Bamboo Longboard Construction
Most bamboo longboards use a bamboo veneer on
the top and bottom of the deck with the interior laminates
consisting of hard maple. Other longboards like all Loaded
longboards, are made from 100% bamboo core sandwiched between
fiberglass. The Sector 9 bamboo longboards are 100% bamboo that
are laminated from 5-7 bamboo veneers.
